Frankie B. founder and owner, Daniella Clarke, is considered a trendsetter in jeans design and has built a fashion empire based on denim. Daniella's designs first appealed to rock musicians and high school students. Today, the Frankie B. line has been expanded into a lifestyle collection that offers chic style for everyone.
Denim has always been a passion for Daniella, who is widely credited for sparking the low-rise trend. Daniella always thought about what she would like to wear and how the fit would be, and began altering her jeans when she was a teenager. She feels that "jeans make a woman feel strong, feminine, and casual-all at the same time-and are now a staple of most women's wardrobes, not a trendy item that becomes obsolete after a season."
Daniella is honored to have been asked to design a pair of HER2 "Genes," which will make their official debut at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles during October 15th-19th. As a woman, mother and friend, Daniella believes she has an important role to play in educating women about HER2-positive breast cancer, which is often characterized as more aggressive. In her life, she has been touched by both friends and family members who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Daniella hopes the "Genes" will become a symbol of empowerment for the thousands of women who will be diagnosed with HER2-positive disease each year. Further, she is proud to devote her time to serve as the campaign's official spokesperson, which will allow her to reach women, their loved ones and caregivers directly about the importance of HER2 testing.
Daniella is married to rock guitarist Gilby Clarke, and mother of daughter Frankie, the inspiration behind the Frankie B. brand and logo.
